Bangladesh's Team Atlas won the Entrepreneur Challenge at an international robotics competition held in Osaka, Japan, from 10 to 12 August 2026, finishing ahead of teams from 19 countries at the Grand Cube Osaka International Convention Centre.
The winning team β three sixth-grade students from St Joseph International School, Alvi Ahmed Khan Ahnab, Md Safwat Zaman and Arani Saha β presented 'Hydraz,' an AI-powered smart aquaculture platform designed to make fish farming more efficient.
The platform combines the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence and to track water conditions and fish behaviour and feeding patterns in fish farms. It analyses the collected data to flag potential risks and give farmers management recommendations.
Participants were evaluated on innovation, problem-solving ability, practical application of technology and entrepreneurial potential. The team was mentored by Sani Zubayer and Jannatul Ferdous Fabin, computer science and engineering students at BRAC University.
