Kookaburra 2.0: A Spacious Tiny House for Family Living
Unplgd Tiny Homes introduces the Kookaburra 2.0, a wider tiny house model offering more living space and features like a bathtub, making it ideal for families.

Unplgd Tiny Homes has unveiled the Kookaburra 2.0, a new model in their line of tiny houses designed to offer more space for family living. The Kookaburra 2.0 is built on a triple-axle trailer and measures 8.5 meters in length and 3 meters in width, providing a roomier interior than typical tiny houses. This extra width means the house requires a permit to tow in many regions, but it offers a more apartment-like living experience.
The exterior of the Kookaburra 2.0 is finished with Colorbond, a durable painted steel cladding popular in Australia. It also features timber-look aluminum accents and an optional deck area. Inside, large glass sliding doors and generous glazing allow for ample natural light. The interior is painted in white tongue-and-groove, with various flooring options available.
The living room includes a sofa and space for a TV or cabinetry. The kitchen, notable for its abundant storage, includes a pull-out pantry, induction cooktop, and fridge/freezer, complemented by a mini-split air conditioning system. A breakfast bar for two and a high ceiling enhance the airy feel of the space.
The bathroom is a standout feature, offering a bathtub/shower, a rarity in tiny houses, along with a toilet, vanity sink, and additional storage. A secondary entrance from the bathroom provides direct outdoor access. The unique bedroom layout places both lofts on one side of the house, accessed by a storage-integrated staircase. The main bedroom accommodates a queen-size bed with full standing height on three sides, while the secondary bedroom is suitable for a child's room or additional storage.
The Kookaburra 2.0 is priced at AUD 195,000, approximately USD 138,000. Interested buyers should contact Unplgd Tiny Homes for more information on availability and delivery options.
